Mission Statement

Community First Lemon Grove’s mission is to place the culture, history, and character of our community above the objectives of political parties and special interest groups. We do this by supporting measures, campaigns, and candidates who embody our community’s vision.

Who is Community First?

Community First Lemon Grove is a political action committee created by a non-partisan group of residents who have stopped worrying about political labels and see the value in a strong, unifying vision for our community.

We invest in leaders who are advocating for culturally sensitive planning, community-focused policies, and actionable programs.

We believe in a future Lemon Grove that has well-maintained infrastructure, is safe for community members and visitors, and promotes a vibrant lifestyle that goes hand-in-hand with the culture and places that we value.

Why we need a Political Action Committee

Our community has watched as outside money from political parties and special interests has crept into Lemon Grove. As a result, our government has shifted away from our local needs and toward the objectives of powerful outside interests that are not listening to local voices. We want our voices to be the loudest and first sought out, not the last or not at all.

By creating a solid funding platform from within our community, we can help candidates who have shown, and continue to show, Community First leadership. We only support and endorse local measures and candidates who meet the standards of our Community First mission. Our political action committee is committed to neighbors helping neighbors, to build a stronger community.
